Gaming is an expensive hobby! If you want to play the best games without breaking the bank, we’ve got your back. Today, we’re bringing you the best gaming deals from around the web. There are steep discounts on everything from Super Mario Odyssey to Final Fantasy VII Remake. Let’s dive into these savings!
Nintendo captured pure joy and transcribed it into a video game with Super Mario Odyssey. Odyssey is a 3D platformer, like Super Mario 64 or Sunshine, but distilled in a way its predecessors weren’t. When you find a Power Moon (Odyssey’s version of Super Stars,) you aren’t booted back out of the level you’re exploring. Instead, you keep adventuring through whatever wacky landscape you’re in.
The game’s designers cleverly hid Power Moons all over each sandbox-like stage. You’re likely to bump into a Power Moon if you investigate in corners or under any terrain. It helps that the game is also gorgeous and charming. Enemies bounce with the music, making them just as fun to look at as they are to stomp.
If you missed this excellent title when it first launched, you’re in luck. Amazon has Super Mario Odyssey on sale now for just $40!
One of the PS4’s best games, Final Fantasy VII Remake, is finally on PS5. The upgraded port runs in 4K, with 60 frames per second, and looks like a game from the future. While the game is a remake of the PlayStation 1 classic, it doesn’t feel outdated. The developers remade everything about Final Fantasy VII from the ground up, including the combat system.
Instead of using turn-based combat, players control Cloud and his allies in real-time. The resulting fast-paced battles make FFVII’s storyline feel much more impactful. When you see a SHINRA robot rampaging through a factory, it’s easier to see just how much the heroes are up against.
Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade is on sale for $45 right now from Amazon, which is the lowest price we’ve seen for the new game yet!
If you love Assassin’s Creed, check out Ghost of Tsushima. This sprawling, third-person action game tasks the player with battling Mongolian invaders in feudal Japan. Fans of samurai films and anime will love the focused swordplay.
The PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is on sale today at Amazon for just $40. This is a steal, considering the game usually retails for $60!
